Social Share Preview
Open Graph + Twitter Card tags with a live Facebook/Twitter-style preview card
Four platforms, one truth about your share card
Facebook, X, LinkedIn and WhatsApp render your OG tags differently — see all four mocks and fix the weakest before publishing.
One form, two tag sets
Open Graph tags for Facebook, LinkedIn, and Slack and Twitter Card tags for X generate together from one title, description, image, and URL.
See cards before sharing
Preview cards render the image at 1.91:1 with domain, title, and description, the exact layout users see when the link is shared, before anything goes live.
Both card variants
Choose summary_large_image for a full-width image or the compact summary card, and the generator emits the matching twitter:card value and tags.
Frequently asked questions
Why generate Open Graph and Twitter Card tags together?
Twitter/X automatically falls back to your Open Graph tags when dedicated twitter:* tags are missing, so real-world share cards are built from one shared set of fields — filling them in separately would just duplicate the same title/description/image twice.
What image size should I use?
1200×630px (a roughly 1.91:1 ratio) is the safe recommended size for "summary_large_image" cards across Facebook, Twitter/X, LinkedIn and Slack — smaller or oddly-cropped images can get cropped unpredictably by each platform.
Is my content uploaded anywhere?
No. The preview is assembled locally from the URL and text you enter; the tool does not fetch your page or report the share anywhere.
What each platform reads
| Platform | Primary source | Image ratio |
|---|---|---|
| Facebook / LinkedIn | og:title, og:description, og:image | 1.91:1 (min 200×200) |
| X / Twitter | twitter:card, else OG fallback | 2:1 large, 1:1 summary |
| og:title/image (description often hidden) | square-ish crop |
Flags undersized images, missing dimension tags (which force re-scrapes) and titles past each network cut-off point.

What Is a Social Share Preview?
When someone shares a link on Facebook, X, LinkedIn or Slack, the platform reads meta tags — Open Graph for most networks, Twitter Cards for X — and builds a card with an image, title and description. Without those tags, the card looks wrong or shows a bare URL, which hurts click-through. This tool generates both tag sets from a single form and renders live preview cards, so you see exactly what your link will look like before you share it anywhere. Marketers, content teams and site owners use it before every launch. Getting the image and copy right up front saves reshared screenshots of a broken card after the fact.
What it builds
- 🖼️ Open Graph and Twitter Card tags from one set of fields
- 📱 Live Facebook/Twitter-style card preview as you type
- 🗂️ Summary or large-image card type for X
- 🔗 og:url and og:site_name support
- 📋 A combined, ready-to-paste tag block
When to check before sharing
- Launching a product or landing page that will be shared widely
- Verifying how an article link looks before a campaign goes out
- Checking whether the chosen image crops well at 1.91:1
- Auditing a site whose share cards have been broken for months
Everything is generated in your browser; no content is uploaded. One platform quirk to know: social networks cache a URL's metadata, so after adding the tags you may need to refresh the cache with that platform's debugging tool before the new card shows.
