Can I merge clips with different resolutions or frame rates?⌄
Yes — every clip is automatically resized and reframed to match the first clip's picture (letterboxed if the aspect ratio differs) and its frame rate, so mismatched sources still combine into one clean video.
What happens to a clip with no audio?⌄
A silent audio track is added automatically so the merge never fails — the rest of the clips keep their own sound.
How many clips can I merge, and what happens to my files?⌄
Up to 6 clips per merge. Both your uploads and the result are deleted automatically within 30 minutes, and only your session's signed token can access the job.
Why did my merge re-encode even though both files were MP4?⌄
Same container does not mean same parameters. Different resolutions, frame rates or profile levels force normalization so players don't glitch at boundaries.

Your clips are uploaded to our VPS, where FFmpeg joins them with matching parameters; the finished video is available for download for 30 minutes and then deleted automatically. The merge consumes credits based on the combined length of the output. One honest limitation: because every clip is normalized to the first clip resolution and frame rate, clips of very different quality are leveled to that baseline — for the cleanest result, merge clips that are roughly similar in resolution.
