Cloud Image Converter (HEIC · AVIF · TIFF)
Convert formats your browser can't — HEIC, AVIF, TIFF — on a real server
Server-side FFmpeg handles any format — including HEVC/H.265 files your browser can't play. Files are deleted from the server within 30 minutes.
⚠️ Please don't close or refresh this page until it's done, or you may lose the result.
💡 Large files travel at your connection's pace: the upload continues on its own and resumes safely, so a slow link only affects time, never your credits.
How it works
- 1
Upload any image — HEIC, AVIF and TIFF are all fine.
- 2
Pick the target format and quality; our server converts it.
- 3
Preview the result and download. Files auto-delete in 30 minutes.
Formats your browser can't touch
HEIC from iPhones, TIFF from scanners, AVIF exports — converted server-side where full codec libraries live, not in a limited WebAssembly build.
HEIC, AVIF and TIFF in
Photos straight from a phone arrive as HEIC or HEIF, and scans as TIFF — all of them are accepted, decoded and ready to convert in one upload.
Six export choices
JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and GIF are all on the output list, with a quality setting of best, good or small to balance detail against file size.
Preview and auto-orient
The result is previewed before the download starts and EXIF rotation is applied automatically, so an image taken sideways never arrives flipped the wrong way.
Input/output format support matrix
| From / To | JPG | PNG | WebP | AVIF | |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|
| HEIC/HEIF (iPhone) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| TIFF (multi-page = first page) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| AVIF | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | — | ✓ |
| BMP / GIF (static) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
| SVG (rasterized at 2×) | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |
Quality presets map to encoder settings (best ≈ q92, good ≈ q80, small ≈ q65). Multi-page TIFFs convert the first page; animated GIFs take their first frame. Output resolution is preserved 1:1 unless you enable downscaling.
Frequently asked questions
How is this different from the free image converter?
The free tool converts in your browser, so it only reads formats your browser can decode (PNG/JPG/WebP/GIF). This cloud version runs ImageMagick on our servers and also reads HEIC/HEIF from iPhones, AVIF and multi-page TIFF — that server time is what the credit pays for.
Is EXIF orientation handled?
Yes — images are auto-rotated according to their EXIF orientation before converting, so photos never come out sideways.
Is my image kept on the server?
No. Uploads and results are deleted automatically within 30 minutes, and jobs are only reachable with the signed token from your session.

What Is a Cloud Image Converter?
A cloud image converter handles formats your browser simply cannot decode. HEIC and HEIF photos from iPhones and newer Android devices, AVIF images, TIFF scans and similar files are not readable by the built-in canvas engine that ordinary web tools rely on — so this tool sends the file to the site's server, where ImageMagick performs the conversion with full format support. Output options are JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and GIF, each with a quality choice — best, good or small — and the result is previewed in the page before you download it. The server also auto-orients images according to their stored orientation. This is the right tool when a colleague sends you a HEIC burst and every other online converter refuses it, or when you need a TIFF for print and only have a JPEG. It requires an account and consumes a small number of credits.
What this tool can do
- Convert iPhone HEIC and HEIF photos that browsers cannot open
- Work across the full matrix of JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, TIFF and GIF
- Choose the output quality — best, good or small — per conversion
- Preview the converted result inside the page before downloading
- Auto-orient images according to their stored EXIF orientation
- Handle TIFF scans and other formats with no browser support at all
When you'll use it
- Opening a HEIC burst from an iPhone on a Windows laptop or an Android phone
- Converting a photo to TIFF for print or long-term archival
- Delivering WebP or AVIF assets to a developer who needs modern formats
- Turning an oversized TIFF into a small JPG for a quick email
- Converting AVIF screenshots into PNG for software that only reads traditional formats
Privacy and limits: unlike the free browser converter, this tool uploads your image to the site's VPS, where ImageMagick runs the conversion; the file is processed on the server and deleted when the job is done. It requires an account and consumes credits per job. The output takes the first frame of multi-frame inputs, so converting an animated GIF yields a still image.
