Sharp-edge logos get a nearest-neighbor downscale option; photos default to smooth resampling. Everything renders client-side from canvas — source art never uploads.

One icon, every size platforms demand

From a single upload you get 16 px favicons through 512 px PWA tiles, with platform previews before download.

Crop like a pro

A visual crop square with a live size slider lets you frame the best part of your image — drag to reposition, shrink to zoom, and every preview updates instantly.

Frequently asked questions

Which sizes do I actually need?

The 16 and 32 px pair covers classic browser tabs, 180 px is the only size iOS reads for the home screen, and 192 plus 512 px are what Android and Chrome expect in the manifest. Generating all six covers every modern platform — it is the standard set most sites ship today, and the ZIP keeps them together painlessly.

Is my image uploaded to a server?

No. The image is read, cropped and exported entirely in your browser — nothing is sent anywhere. You can safely generate icons for a private design or a client project without the file leaving your device.

Why is my ZIP not compressed?

PNG files are already compressed, so re-compressing them inside the ZIP would only cost time and battery with zero size gain. The generated ZIP stores each PNG as-is — every file inside is byte-identical to the individual download, and any unzip tool reads it fine.

Why does my icon look blurry at 16 px?

Detailed logos lose shape when squeezed to 16×16. Draw a simplified mark (one symbol, two colors) for small sizes — the previews show exactly what survives.

What is a Favicon Generator?

A favicon is the small icon that shows in browser tabs, bookmarks and app launchers. The Favicon Generator turns your logo or any image into the complete set of sizes modern platforms expect — from the tiny 16-pixel tab icon to the 512-pixel icons Android uses for installed apps. Instead of juggling an image editor and a dozen file converters, you upload one image, choose the crop and get all six sizes exported instantly: individually, as a ZIP archive, and as a site.webmanifest plus an HTML snippet that wires everything into your page head.

What you get

  • 🖼️ 16, 32 and 48 px favicons for classic browser tabs and bookmarks
  • 🍎 The 180 px apple-touch-icon iOS uses on the home screen
  • 🤖 192 and 512 px icons for the Android and Chrome web manifest
  • 📦 A single ZIP with every file, ready to drop into your site root
  • 📄 A site.webmanifest listing all six icons
  • 🔗 A paste-ready link block for your page head, theme-color included

When to use it

  • When launching a new site or blog and setting up its identity for the first time
  • When replacing old, blurry or missing icons on an existing site
  • When preparing a favicon set to hand to a client or bundle with a theme

Privacy: your image never leaves the browser. Cropping, resizing, ZIP packaging and all exports run locally on your device.
