Sign PDF

Draw or type a signature, place it on your PDF, download — free, no upload

Ink color

This is a visual signature — perfect for signing forms, contracts and letters you send yourself. It is not a cryptographic e-signature.

🔒

100% private — Files are processed right in your browser and never uploaded to any server.

How signing is implemented

Draw, type or place your signature once

Pad strokes store locally for reuse, place anywhere with drag-and-scale, then flatten into the PDF so no editor can peel them off.

🔒

Draw or type your name

Sketch a signature with your mouse, trackpad, or finger on the pad, or switch to the type tab and your name is rendered in a handwriting-style font. Black and blue ink colors match pen choices.

Page, position, and width

Pick the page number, one of five positions — bottom-left, bottom-center, bottom-right, top-left, or top-right — and a width from 10 to 60 percent of the page for the signature's size.

📄

Restore your last signature

Your previous signature is saved locally, and a restore link brings it back on the next visit so recurring paperwork does not need the same strokes redrawn. A clear button starts over with a blank pad.

How it works

  1. 1

    Upload your PDF.

  2. 2

Draw or type your signature, then choose the page and position.

  3. 3

Click sign and download the result.

Frequently asked questions

Is this a legally binding electronic signature?

No — this places a visual signature image onto the page, the same as every free online PDF signer. For a legally binding e-signature (with identity verification and an audit trail), use a dedicated e-signature service.

Can I sign more than one page?

Each run signs one page — pick the page number before converting. Run the tool again on the result to add a second signature elsewhere.

Is my PDF uploaded to your servers?

No — everything happens in your browser using pdf-lib. The file never leaves your device.

What Is PDF Signing?

PDF signing adds your signature to a document so it can be returned as a signed file. Contracts, consent forms, NDAs, and school paperwork all end with a signature line — and with this tool you can sign from anywhere, without printing, scanning, or a fax machine. You draw your signature with a mouse, trackpad, or finger, or simply type your name and it is rendered in a handwriting-style font, then you place it on the page of your choice. It is the same visual signature every free online signer provides: quick and easy, rather than a certified cryptographic e-signature. The signed file downloads immediately and can be returned by email the same day.

What this tool can do

  • ✍️ Draw your signature freehand with a mouse, trackpad, or finger
  • ⌨️ Or type your name and have it rendered in an elegant handwriting-style script
  • 📄 Choose which page the signature goes on, defaulting to the last page
  • 📍 Place it in five positions: any corner or the bottom center
  • 📏 Size the signature from 10 to 60 percent of the page width
  • 📅 Optionally stamp the date beneath the signature

When you'll use it

  • 📝 Sign a contract or agreement and email it back the same day
  • 🏫 Return school permission forms and consent letters without printing
  • 💼 Approve an internal document by adding your signature to the approval page
  • 📱 Sign a PDF you received by email while traveling, with nothing but your browser

Everything happens in your browser — your signature and document never leave your device. The signature is embedded as an image, which makes it a visual signature, not a legally binding cryptographic e-signature, the same honest scope as every mainstream free PDF signer. One signature is placed per run; for multi-signature contracts, run the tool again for each signer or use the form-filling tool for documents with signature fields.
